The Grand Palace Bangkok

june 21 to 25 i went bangkok with the plan to visit The Grand Palace. not my 1st trip to the Land of Smiles but my 1st to this vast property, 218,000 sqm, with 35 blocks! built by King Rama I in 1782. did my research & realised that there's strict dress code to follow. should u dressed wrongly, they'll loan u the right ones foc! entrance fee applicable at a whopping 500 thai baht per person, ie about S$20!

to avoid the crowd, i picked monday but to my surprise it's full of group tours, & it's a hot day. started the day with 2 interesting taxi drivers. i boarded the 1st one outside Palladium Mall off Pratunam. the middle-aged man told me to go across the road for where i was were go out of bangkok! nice & kind of him of not cheating! at the right road came a young taxi driver. at first he didn't understand when i said Grand Palace in english. he did when i said Wat Pak Keow! haha the night before i asked the Starbucks staff how to say it in Thai, they even wrote for me in Thai language. they deserved my patronage for 3 nights! the taxi meter showed 75 thbt, i gave him 100 note, Smilingly wide he said Thank You! 'Change' i responded! he returned 20 note! i felt ok.

in addition to the tickets, i was given a Map literature of The Grand Palace, The World's Largest Golden Teakwood Mansion, Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles, The Royal Monastery of the Emerald Buddha, etc.
Signs along the way wasn't cleared! No photography at the Emerald Buddha Monastery & Hat/Cap has to be taken off!

many buildings & statues were made of Gold & Gemstones! Designs are one of a kind! not surprise that it attracted many visitors, also visitors were go all the way with unexpected poise!

my wish was fulfilled. i've visited The Grand Palace of Bangkok, Thailand. will i go again? maybe.
Happy Holidays. 26/6/13, 6.55pm.

Corals at Keppel Bay

land shape is vital in feng shui! Corals at Keppel Bay, what's the shape of the land? on a positive side, call it Gold Bar or Figure 1. how nice to live in gold bar or as no. 1! on the negative side, it's Coffin, Minus Sign!

although this property has the backing from mt faber & sea view, its block of design is triangular, ie panties! & the right side is longer than the left. such would make the Women to be in power, also will produce more girl babies! 99 years leasehold. near mrt.

+ & - points! well if the price is realistic, & future owners willing to put in Feng Shui design for the unit, no harm consider buying.

2nd Hand Ok or Not?

'I'll Slap Him!' said Wendy the unofficial matchmaker when i showed her a condition a late 20 something friend's condition that his wife-to-be must be a Virgin! the late great actress Elizabeth Taylor remarried about 7 times, twice she married the same man, the great actor Richard Burton. big star of the 70s Zhen Zhen divorced Nicholas Tze's dad Patrick & married taiwan icon Liu Jia Chang!

property in the Resale Market is very common worldwide. you can choose the location u want esp for hdb estate. more importantly fast! many of my clients go for the land & not the house for they can build their Dream Mansion! a client threw in 300k to renovate his new Sentosa Cove apt! just wanted the way he wanted his home to look like.

in recent years 2nd hand Watch Market makes big entry. just like Car, once it leaves the showroom, your new love easily depreciate by 20%! a watch lover pal recommends that why not get an Unworn or Brand New piece from a 2nd hand watch shop! so much cheaper. he owns an unworn white gold classic Blancpain 5k for daily wear; the used 31k Patek Philippe Complication for special occasion; & recently bought a 5 years old Rolex Sea Deweller for 6k just to keep. he can afford brand new ones but chose to save some $! from the 70s till now he has many watches. well if u are into Vintage then can only scout in the resale market.

70k for a licence to buy a car & have to see whether u can get the paper for that month or not before u can get a car in s'pore! so to avoid the wait & the crazy price many car lovers go for the 2nd hand car.

quite common for the resale property, watch & car if u get it at the right timing, u can make a good profit!
2nd hand luxury handbags, gold & jewellery are getting common too.

garments unless previously owned by celebrities otherwise not a big resale market at least in s'pore.

1st or 2nd hand it's your choice. most importantly u must enjoy it!

Happy Saturday. 8/6/13, 10.48am.

Mr Khaw Boon Wan, HDB & I

due to weak legs my 85 years old mother fell a week before chinese new year! her left shoulder & hip were fractured! according to changi general hospital's doctor, the fall was unavoidable, only when.

after the operation, a week later she's transferred to st andrew community hospital & stayed for about a month to learn how to walk & balance. she now uses a walking frame. before the fall she used a 4-legged walker.

before her discharge on mar 21, i happened to read about hdb's Enhancement For Active Seniors (what a nice name!) in the straits times over the weekend. if it could be in my flat would be good. immediately i contacted the hdb hoping that she were grant me the wish. 2 days later a Mr Chan from hdb hq phoned me.
within 10 days or so, 5 ramps, 7 grab bars & slip resistant chemical were all done up to welcome her home!

i wrote to hdb & the mass media to express my heartfelt appreciation.

on may 10, Mr Khaw Boon Wan, Minister of National Development, Dr Cheong Koon Hean, CEO-Hdb, & other officers visited my place. such visit was heartwarming. it certainly brightened my home & the whole ubi estate!

i feel that such EASE programme should be incorporated into the BTO housing scheme.

finally May Buddha Bless All.
