To Love With Care

a young lady told me for a few consecutive nights in her dream she's chased by a mother & her kids to a hilltop. a big monk there told her he can't save her!

that night i dreamed of a black magic master. he disclosed that the mother & children were spirits sent by him to warn my client to stay off one's husband. negotiated with him that i were ask the young lady to stop the relationship, & he must stopped sending spirits to disturb. if he failed to act, i'll use Buddhism magic to destroy his spirits.

the next day, the young lady confessed that she's seeing a guy but didn't know he's married. thus angered the wife who engaged help of black magic. my client assured that she were stop the relationship.

never again this young lady has nightmare.

sometimes do come across non feng shui jobs. except casting black magic which anyway i don't know how to do it, i'll try my best to solve one's issue.

dream psychic power was developed naturally long ago.

The Magic of Hulu

Movies always show how the Sifu make pills in Hulu, how Taoist Priests capture Spirits with Hulu... Common to see in old days, Hulu made into Wine or Water Container. Often Herbal shops place a huge Hulu at the shop.

Hulu or Bottle Gourd once dried fully & maintain nice condition with or without human effort seem to have Special Power. Hulu figurine of other materials are made too, eg Metal, Jade, Crystal etc. Trust Jade or Crystal will add on its Natural Power.

I particularly like to use Hulu to curb or combat Illness Star in my Geomancy. Earlier this year, advised a client to put a Hulu of any made in her daughter's room as the kid was ill very often, to the extent of hospitalization a few times. Also adjusted the Stove (Woman's Health) slightly. Shortly the feedback: Thank God for Your Advice. You Saved My Girl.

As a Protection Tool, it's good to place Hulu in or near Kid's Bed. Double as Toy too.

Some believe Hulu helps to collect debts. Can prevent or Knock Out 3rd Party!

Have seen Hulu printed with Merlion or other form of S'pore Tourism. Some even printed with Talismans! All these can be ignored.

Someone told me, he heard that too many Hulu in the home will cause Quarrel! Not that I know of.

Well, if 1 day your natural dried Hulu rots or the crystal one broke, just replace it.

Fresh Hulu are available in supermarkets especially Lunar New Year period. Dried ones commonly found in Chinatown area. Not necessary that Bigger ones have Bigger Power. Love at 1st sight matters.

Feng Shui 3 Great

Many Geomancers in their advertisements, websites or blogs claim they're world famous or words to that effect. Ultra strong business marketing tricks. Probably what you've done speak for your status.
In this page, 3 Legends are highlighted.

1. Lai Bu Yi,赖布衣, of the Song Dynasty. Many books, movies & tv shows were made about him. A little tale was an evil high ranking officer wanted him to correct his ancestor's tomb so that he were be the emperor. Lai was the emperor's feng shui adviser. After rejecting the request, Lai was setup by the officer causing him to leave the palace to escape death. Such turned out to be a blessing in disguise for the public. Many benefited from his advice.

2. Rev Hong Choon, 宏船法师. Commonly known as The Feng Shui Monk. Please refer to the Page of his name.

3. Cai Bo Li, 蔡伯历, God of HK. He predicted that HK's economy were fail when the new airport once ready. Whenever a new Governor took office were consult him to feng shui the Governor's House especially before '97. He pen a version of the Chinese Almanac.

Long ago, I got a job to check on the feng shui of a tomb in Choa Chu Kang cemetery that he rejected. When approached by the son-in-law of the deceased Indonesian Chinese Birdnest businessman, he recommended his son to come S'pore, giving the reason of his old age. The son-in-law felt no face of not getting the grand master, he rejected his offer.

"by far the best & effective means is to engage a geomancer, to do what he says, & to pay him well"

Rev Hong Choon - The Feng Shui Monk

Our famous icon, the Merlion, was believed that a Geomancer advised the authority to put a Fountain or Auspicious Symbol at a particular spot facing the open sea to channel in Good Luck & Wealth. As a multi-racial society, it's inappropriate to put a Deity. Common Feng Shui Figurine such as Pixiu, Kirin etc would be too obvious. Thus the job was given to a Sculptor. Merlion was born. It's trusted that the Advisor was Rev Hong Choon.
Many decades later the sea was reclaimed. The Great Monk already passed away. Another Geomancer was consulted of moving the Fortune Merlion to the current spot.

Rev Hong Choon (宏船) means Grand Ship came from Fujian China long ago. At that time Bright Hill Monastery at Sin Ming area was merely a small temple. Under his leadership or Feng Shui Power, now it's the Biggest Buddhist Temple in Singapore. Feng Shui Monk is his the other name given by the public.
After his death, his Personal Assistant clarified certain rumours: 1. minimum fee $10k, He never gives quotation, People gave what they liked. 2. never have any Geomancy student. Many including Monks claimed they're taught Feng Shui by Him. Notice that those who made such claim Suffered including early death!
The PA shared an interesting note i.e. usually before sunrise the Rev were moved around the estate to see & feel Feng Shui.

Tilt Door or Entrance was His signature style. If you visit Bright Hill Temple appreciate it. Sometimes Tilting the Door to a certain angle is to receive the Energy from that direction, & not for artistic reason. Once a client requested me to tilt his door just to show that Geomancy was involved. It's turned down.
Hotel Grand Hyatt after the main entrance was tilted by the Reverend, it enjoys success till now. The Feng Shui Monk also did some changes to the old kitchen of the hotel.
Rumour that He advised the authority to create the 8-sided $1 coin, liked Bagua, to slot into the MRT machine to save the injuried Earth Dragon when MRT was built! Bad economy era.
News that He advised the Sultan of Brunei to build 4 or 8 pillars/towers at the palace to symbolise Heaven Guardians (金刚).
A relative who worked for an almost bankrupt construction co witnessed his boss invited Rev Hong Choon to Feng Shui. Due to His old age, he came with assistance. After correction, miracle just happened. Business picked up.
Someone just out of curiosity to test His power. He advised that guy to practise Buddhism instead.

I advised Ms Sara Noble who came from NZ to research on Feng Shui & S'pore to visit Rev Hong Choon. Although Sara speaks Mandarin, she's told no such person in the temple! At her 2nd visit, they told her He's resting. 3rd visit He went China. They didn't get to meet. Fate!

A Ship liked building was built near the Merlion Park. Once overheard a tour guide telling the tourists that it's built by the authority in memory of Rev Hong Choon, 宏船法师, the Grand Ship, for his Feng Shui contribution to the Lion City.

An Excellent Father

Many years ago you came in a dream to ask me to write a book about you. There wasn't internet then. I know your life history was interesting but I really don't know how to pen it although i'd a fishing book, many literary articles & forum letters published. Moreover finding a good publisher is tough. I'm sorry.

Now with social media greatly in use, I choose to dedicate a blog page to you, same as i did for your beloved wife, my dearest mother. Hope you'll like it, in time as a Father's Day gift.

Kum Seong as the eldest of 5 kids of a Cantonese family, his duty or burden was great. Primary School education in Kwong Fook School (now Tai Pei Buddhist Centre) was ceased due to World War II. Well, that didn't stop his search for knowledge. In his spare time from his career in engineering works, he read Chinese Newspapers, listened to radio prog, & attended courses such as Book-Keeping, Electrical Works, Social Dancing, Photography etc. At old age, he learned Tai Chi.

He felt that only Fountain Pen could bring out the Spirit of Penmanship. That's his favourite Parker Pen & Pencil set. Many years ago, I submitted the set to an Oldest Parker Pen Contest. Surprised! Consolation Prize only!

In his younger days, he even wrote CNY couplets himself. Perhaps due to his love for Writing & Respect the Elders, in the 60s, he brought me to Letter-Writing Men in Jalan Besar & Chinatown areas to correspond with his mother's HK relatives. That's how the bonding with the HK relatives started.

Whenever his sisters got troubles with the husbands or my uncle got bullied, he were stormed in! He's very disappointed with the 3 sisters who didn't appreciate his help, also caused lots of problems with the mother & the 2 sister-in-laws, My dad eventually disowned my aunts. He were act too when other relatives & friends needed his fists.

Noticed that my dad loved to eat Fish Head. Why I asked. His reply was that's the only part left when he returned from work. His mother & other siblings ate first.

My grandpa was Factory Manager of several Foundry companies. Well, his eldest son observed that he wasn't appreciated by all the bosses. So 1 day he accepted the son's request to form Hup Soon Cheong Heng Foundry Works. It's one of the places where my uncle, Kum Cheong, learnt the trade. Eventually he started an engineering works business.

He realised that English was important so told his mum to send the brother to join English class. His mother agreed but he to pay for his brother's fee. My father did. By knowing English in the early years helped my uncle greatly in his business.

By the time I completed National Service, Foundry Works was already a sunset trade. Moreover my dad didn't want I to work in such heavy & dirty industry. Our shop at Lavender St is now a Conservation property belonged to OCBC. My dad didn't get to see me becoming a Geomancer. Anyway, hope he's pleased to see what I'm today.

In the 40s, he married his dream lover. And in april this year they reunited in the Western Paradise. They loved each other & me greatly. He's a strict father, engaged many tutors for my weak subjects including Art. He sent his mother to HK to visit her parents & siblings twice. Once by ship, another by plane. My parents & I also visited many Asian countries.

 Taiwan in the 70s

Dining was our great past time too. Most of the weekends we dined in new restaurants. We been to Shangri-La & Top of the M as well.

Although my parents were Chinese educated till Primary education, they'd a Special Romance. In the 70s, they celebrated their Silver Wedding! Following their way, I'd mine too.

Parents preparing Birthday Cake for their Only Kid

He disclosed that at one period of business entertaining at night clubs & bars, the trend was to have Cognac & soft-drink mixed, & that's how he contacted Diabetes. He didn't drink at home. Only a beer or two at restaurant dining. At special function, a glass or two of cognac. He quit smoking long before diabetes. Under the good supervision of our family GP, Dr Wong Poh Yen, his diabetes was cured. Some years later, in the 80s, he contacted Liver problem. He left us 6 months later.

I asked him why joined Diabetic Assn of S'pore as an Ordinary but joined Automobile Association as a Life Member? He said he hoped his diabetes can be cured. He hoped to own a car forever.

Talking about Driving, he insisted that I must get a Driving License. Eventually I did after uncountable tries from Maxwell to Eunos! Changed at least a dozen or two of instructors.

Papa, that's about all I can write about you. But my love & respect for you & Mama is beyond words.
I Love You Both.

An Excellent Mother

 1927-2018
黄凤鸣
WONG FOONG MENG

My mother was a filial daughter & loved her siblings. She's a great wife & survived a fierce mother-in-law, also tolerated some sisters-in-law. Certainly a very good mother, mother-in-law, grandmother & great grandmother. Best describe as 家有一老,如有一宝.

She made her niece to become her god-daughter. For that uncle eloped when she's a baby. And not because I'm the only kid. Her usual kind act.

My dad managed the business & mum managed the home. A very good cook she's. Each time after trying some new dishes in restaurants, next day she could cook the same. Her signature dish was Lotus Seed Duck, 莲子鸭. Many relatives requested her to cook it for them. She can do any Chinese food. Last few years due to weak limbs, she retired from cooking. Only instructed the helper to cook. Of course below standard. Durian was her top love. Anything to do with Durian she loved too eg Cake, Puff, Mooncake, Candy etc.

After her hubby passed away in 1983, she became a Buddhist. Singapore Buddhist Welfare Services was her favoruite Temple. The late famous Abbot Yen Pei was her Master. At home, she chanted thrice daily. 10 days in each month, she went on Vegetarian diet. Eventually all of us became Buddhist.

Common illness such as High Blood Pressure, Diabetics & Heart problems never bothered her. Due to old age, her legs were weakened. In 2013, she'd a fall & her hip was operated on. With the special assistance by HDB, all necessary aids were done up before her discharge. I must thank a Mr Tan from HDB HQ. Also thank Jason of Marine Parade Town Council who postponed full wet cement work at the whole corridor so that my mum could be wheelchaired in on discharge. Sometime later, former Minister of National Development Dr Khor Boon Wan, & HDB's CEO Mdm Cheong came to visit my mum. They presented her a hamper as well.

About 2 years ago, the old lady had a mild stroke which was fully recovered. She'd her regular check up at the neighborhood clinic. She bought chocolates for the GP Dr Joseph on Xmas. Recommended by Changi GH, Home Nursing Foundation sent their nurses & doctor to visit my mum. Special thanks to nurse Bertina. Also utilities at special price.

Due to wheelchair bound & zero walking, blood flow to the legs were slow. Such caused her to be admitted to CGH to heal a swollen left foot (infection) & a dead toe, a week after Lunar New Year '18. Two days later the swell was gone & she's discharged about a week later. But the dead toe needed daily dressing.

Her daily routine: breakfast, shower, read chinese newspapers, lunch, afternoon tea, nap, dinner, watch tv, supper then sleep. of course medication as well.

A few years ago she mentioned that her wake to be done at S'pore Casket (follow her mum), Ritual by Monk & Sea Burial, & hope to Sleep & Go.

On 25/4 her wish of Sleep & Go was fulfilled. Followed by Sea Burial. Whole Event was done in Buddhism Ritual with Monks, & an additional Chanting session by Buddhist Volunteers coordinated by her eldest grand-daughter. Only 1 wish was not fulfilled because S'pore Casket was under going full renovation.

Allow me to say She's a Great Lady with Excellent Virtues, 三从四德. Not only she brought me up, educated me, made sure I was all right at all times, she taught me to read the Chinese Almanac when I was a teenager. Also she helped to take care of the family dog, a white Boxer for 13 years.

My Mother always praised My Father (Cheong Kum Seong) who loved her very much. They visited many Asian countries & dined in many restaurants. Forgive me, mama, I wasn't a great son but I always tried my best. I'm very very lucky to have You as Mother.

For the Event, many kind wishes were sent through FB, Whatsapp, Email & Sms.  Many came to the Wake including an Indian Muslim neighbour. On behalf of the family doctor, 2 nurses came too. Wreaths & Blankets were received. Very touched by those relatives who came using wheelchair, & walking stick. And some with joint-pain. Special mention of a Mr Hui who came at dawn for his tight timing traveling S'pore & KL. A tuition centre boss came at 3am, trust he just returned from abroad. And CEO of Rigel Technology though oversea, whatsapp a msg & sent a wreath. Susan who happened to be in Batam, donated to a local charity under my mother's name. Stanley who's oversea TT his contribution. A HK uncle contributed through a Sg relative. Thanks also goes to those who've helped in one way or another. Not forgetting all former good maids & current one as well.

Today is her 1st 7th day, 头七. Happen to coincide with Labour Day. My mother need not " work " anymore. An important date. Timing is right. Mum, We Love You.

May Day 2018

Update:

1. Many Moths of different colours were seen during the wake. A few at home too.
2. Most of her belongings & aids were donated to various Charities. 2/5/18.
3. Mother's Day is coming. She's always in our minds & hearts. 3/5/18. Although I no longer can give her a treat or gift, likely I'll donate to charity or offer a prayer. 4/5/18.
4.  Using my dad's middle name 金 (Gold), & my mum's 凤 (Phoenix), formed The Golden Phoenix Offer Scheme for Cheong Geomancy Consultants. Details in The Golden Phoenix page. A good Mother's & Father's Day Gift.
5. The Chinese believes that if the deceased is 80 years old or older, it's known as Happy Funeral. 5/5/18.
6. Dream: a. My Mother was with Ven Dr Dhammajoti, 法光法师。Rev Dhammajoti, a Chinese from KL, Malaysia. Based in Sri Lanka. He traveled to many countries to lecture on Buddhism. I took Refuge through Him at Man Fatt Lam, S'pore. He accepted my request to receive the body of my client, Mr Goh's eldest sis-in-law many years ago. 9/5/18.
b. sometime ago thanked Her for cooking mee for those trips i organised in the 80s.
c. my 4th uncle who passed away 2 years ago appeared on the eve of my mum's 100th day. She helped to take care of him & his family in his younger days.

Aug 2, Her 100th Day: If one can afford it will invite Religious leaders to host such Memorial event & guests were be invited. We did a simple one by inviting a Monk to the home to chant.
In the 100 days, cannot wear bright colour clothes, cannot attend happy or sad event. In the 1st year, cannot celebrate Lunar new year. And the 1st Qing Ming praying must be done earlier than the actual day. 3/8/18.

Feng Shui Power 30 8818

many people like to write about their 30 years so i follow:

happy corporate clients include Robinsons, Sumitomo Chemical, Avaplas, Xedge, Wo Peng Restaurant, Official Make-Up Artist for Ms S'pore/Universe Pageant '91, NTU Alumni Clubhouse, & many Hotels etc.

witnessed the birth of Rigel. rejuvenated Fagerdala, Tempur, Pizza Hut, Renault & Coselec. Bt Gmbh & Co Kg.

on a personal side, it includes Michael Chiang, Xiaxue, Prof Peter Ng, etc.

worked with many Hoteliers including the renowned Mr Patrick Fiat, & Mr/Mrs Noel Hawkes. not forgetting the SG Hotel Assn.

did many Bridal Shows where i on-the-spot picked Wedding Dates for the couples. my advantage is i could pick date for the future before the new almanac is ready. sometimes also talk on Wedding Custom & Tradition etc.

Chinese New Year Lo Hei is another hot event by hotels, clubs & companies with the popular topic on the 12 Zodiac Animals. most challenging was the Hilton/Conrad's International Convention for the Top Management. i was given only 12 mins (usual is half hour) & mustn't talk on any ill issue.

CNY Luck Reading was done in many malls, hotels & clubs.

Feng Shui Talk were conducted in many organisations. most Honourable was to be invited by the NZ Tourism Board to present Feng Shui Slide Talk at her 100 Years Tourism Convention. i was in Auckland, Rotorua & Christchurch. and had the chance to feng shui for a proposed Maori Cultural Centre by Kurutao,

assisted some in Research. a few batches of SMU's students. a top civil servant doing his Master degree. i spent a year with Ms Sara Noble who came from NZ for her Master's degree on the advice of her Korean Prof. eventually she graduated with 1st Class Hons. her thesis was published as a book here, " Feng Shui in S'pore ".  it's launched at the Book Fair at the former World Trade Centre.

during my work trip in NZ, Sara picked me up at Auckland airport. met her Korean Prof in Auckland U. visited her big house. she hosted a beautiful dinner with wine by the sea.

for some years i organised CNY Talk for some followers. not any more for economical venue is hard to find. and i don't bet on mass advertising.

built some houses too. some clients bought old houses or lands then build according to their liking but with total Feng Shui element. interesting & challenging!

some overseas jobs were done online, & some i went there, Si Chuan China, Ipoh Malaysia etc.

besides the usual consultation, did some charity work. some were quite poor already & yet disturbed by ill geomancy.karma! also conducted Feng Shui tour for some organisations.

1 unusual job was to check the tomb of a rich pioneer Indonesian Chinese businessman. although here we can't pick a good site for his burial, his large family wished to know how the burial site in choa chu kang was like.

gave the auspicious measurement to the caretaker to dig the hole, & put a pair of kirin to guard his grave. before they engaged me, they already put up a full page notice in the papers about the wake. the day of burial was all right but not the time. i delayed it to 2 hours later. also chose the place to put his tablet in his big house in watten estate.

1 touching job was a middle-age single mother with 3 pri sch kids took on 3 jobs. she strongly believed that feng shui caused the hardship. i offered her special fee, pay $200 first, the balance to be paid within 6 mths. for i know my geomancy after correction will work instantly or not exceeding half a year.

she mentioned that her 3-rm flat in yishun had many ants & other insects! that's a sign of bad feng shui. bed positions & colour were changed. her eldest boy accompanied me to get a cab. the last payment came after 8 mths instead of 6. it's ok for i told her if she felt the improvement didn't come true, she needn't pay the balance.

many many years later she rang up & shared the good news that all the kids were grown up & able to be on their own.

2 families still can't sell their hdb flats with valuations expired many times. their friend & property agent contacted me for help. visited them & advised them to put fountain, aquarium or air-purifier at a specific location. the indian family used a small fountain, & the chinese used an air-purifier. over the weekends, both units were sold! power of water course. the Merlion is a big & powerful fountain.

you might wonder in this 3 decades have i come across any spooky cases? Yes is the ans. some spirits were already there before the owner took over. some flew in. i'm not a ghost-catcher. when encounter such issue, will refer to the right professionals. occasionally some ask for Black Magic. i don't do.

Dream Psychic could be my the other title. over the years i dream of events, future happenings... once a lady came & disclosed that she always dreamed to chase by a Malay woman & her kids, up to a hill where there's a big monk who told her he can't help her! that night in my dream a Malay bomoh came & explained that the Malay family was his controlled spirits. his client believed that her husband was seeing someone so she got his help to kick off the 3rd party.

in the dream i told the bomoh man that my client was naive. i'll advise her to stay off that married man but the bomoh man must keep off his spirits otherwise i'll use Buddhism power (i'm a Mahayana Buddhist) to thrash them. he agreed.

the next day reported the matter to her. she confessed that she didn't know he's married & agreed to break off with him.

that's just one of the Dream Happenings.

Feng Shui is an Environmental Science. not a Religion or Black Art. simply is Who & What to be Where & When. if a doctor diagnoses wrongly, only the patient suffers. if the geomancer feng shui wrongly, the whole family suffers! importantly, the feng shui man must be of good skill & character, & the client willing to follow his advice.

nowadays many so-called ' master ' conduct feng shui class. many so-called ' graduates ' start to give consultation. many suffer. if you're looking for a Master, get a reputable & established one. you must also be comfortable with him. not the most expensive master is the best but good thing hardly cheap.

Beware of some Bogus " Masters". they offer their service at a very low fee but you end up buying thousand $ of ' Auspicious ' things. Some got your job by frightening you! Many are out to Cheat!

Publicity. i don't pay to appear in the news, on tv or get awards. before the 2 casino resorts were built, i received many interviews by the press. they wished to know Mbs or Sentosa is better. there're other interviews too. the most interesting one must be the article on Punters & Feng Shui by the famous journalist/author Mr Wong Kim Hoh.  immediately the write-up was translated into Chinese by 2 Chinese papers. in addition to approach by some serious Players, an international press contacted me too.

Rev. E.J. Eitel of the London Missionary School made his name as the 1st European authority on Feng Shui said by far the best and effective means is to engage a geomancer, to do what he says, and to pay him well. Feng Shui by Ernest J. Eitel

when i was a social worker, many cases were unsolvable, dateline to meet, case to be closed. sad! as a Geomancer, i found the roots of the problems, eg hubby of fire element, wife water..... glad with the finding.

take this opportunity to thank my HK relatives especially Christina & Cassandra who introduced me to be trained under 2 Great Masters in HK. appreciation also goes to my family who supported this profession, & Mr Lee Fong Soon for his ad hoc assistance.

since young inspired by many Feng Shui Tales told by the late great story-teller Mr Li Ta Sa, movies/dramas/books about the legendary Song Dynasty Feng Shui Master Lai Buyi, & our very own Feng Shui Monk Rev Hong Choon, the late Abbot of Kong Meng San Monastery, how He turned the small little temple to be S'pore biggest, & magiced the poor occupancy Grand Hyatt to today's status.

To celebrate this Pearl Anniversary of Cheong Geomancy Consultants, i offer 30% Discount to all Full Feng Shui Consultation from now to end April. If the job can only be done after Apr but before end 2018, 30% Deposit to be received before April ends.

Am i happy in these 30 years? Yes, i'm glad. wish to do more. the motto since day 1 is " To Make A Better You ". my door is open to all. Whether you believe in Feng Shui or not, it exists.

My work include Feng Shui, Personal Consultation, Date Selection, Naming, Talk, & Life/Dream/Omen/Word Analysis.
